Rhoads Energy Family of Companies Food Drive to Support Preston’s Pantry Project

Supporting the local community is one of the Rhoads Energy Family of Companies’ core values. We have organized a company-wide food drive in support of Preston’s Pantry Project. Preston’s Pantry Project started on July 14, 2019 in response to honor a little boy (Preston), his mother and unborn sister who tragically lost their lives in a flash flood incident. Preston organized a food drive at his elementary school as a community service project in May 2018. When the community heard about his project, a group formed to honor what he started and to help the community heal.

Preston’s Pantry Project is organizing a food drive to support the Community Pantry at the Boyertown Multi-Service. Our local office, Boyertown Oil & Propane, will be participating in the drive. We have extended the food drive to our five other office locations and will be supporting the local food banks in those communities. Food banks are generally in need of donations during the summer months as donations decline and this drive could not come at a more perfect time.

Our Brand Marketing Manager, Heather Stehman, a member of the Preston’s Pantry Project steering committee says, “it has been an honor to volunteer with this project. I’m grateful that all our offices are helping to grow Preston’s Pantry Project beyond the Boyertown area and making an impact in the communities we serve.”

Below is a list of our offices, the food banks they will be supporting, and any specific needs requested from the food bank.
