RHOADS ENERGY FAMILY OF COMPANIES HONORED AS BUSINESS OF THE YEAR

The Rhoads Energy Family of Companies won Central Pennsylvania’s Business of the Year at a black-tie gala on November 2. Rhoads was honored in the category for businesses with 51-100 employees. Rhoads Energy and its affiliates are leading providers of energy services related to heating oil, natural gas, propane, HVAC, fleet fueling and more.

The Business of the Year awards, sponsored by the Central Penn Business Journal, honor the region’s top companies for their contributions and performance. A panel of judges determined the winners based on review of several criteria, including leadership, innovation, community involvement, employee engagement and growth.

The company has experienced strong growth over recent years by rapidly expanding its footprint through a key swath of the midstate and by diversifying its product offerings, said CEO Michael DeBerdine.

“This honor is a testament to the entire Rhoads family,” DeBerdine said.  “Our philosophy has always centered on customer service and community involvement. Our team lives that philosophy every day, and I couldn’t be prouder to be named Business of the Year.”
