Rhoads Energy Hosts Annual United Way Trike Race

Thank you to everyone who came out Thursday, May 4th to cheer on the teams at the Annual United Way of Lancaster County, PA Trike Race! Together, we raised $2,500 for the United Way!

A final race between friendly competitors Seth Obetz (Amerigreen) and Mike DeBerdine (our CEO) resulted with a donation of seven bike helmets to go along with a donation of bikes from People’s Bank to the United Way. These bikes and helmets will be donated to children making an effort to strengthen their situation and rise above challenging poverty and education challenges. The donations will go to kids at The Elizabethtown Hub, Solanco Family Life Network, Together Initiative, Reynolds Elementary Community School program and Washington Elementary Community School program.

We were happy to host the race again this year, but we have to give a few shout-outs to supporters who helped make this event successful!

• Spring House Brewing Co. for their donations of appetizers after the event.

Of course, this event wouldn’t have been successful without the competitive teams from: Nxtbook Media LLC, Spring House Taproom, Demme Learning, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Cassel Signs, L&S, Fulton Financial Group, Amerigreen, Johnson & Johnson – Lititz and Benchmark Construction.
