Rhoads Energy Legacy Fund Makes Donation to Project for the Needy

The Rhoads Energy Family of Companies, a regional energy and HVAC services leader headquartered in Lancaster, announced it has made a donation of $2,000 to the Lancaster County Project for the Needy (LCPN).

The contribution was the latest made by the Rhoads Energy Family of Companies Legacy Fund, which was created to support the organization’s charitable efforts in southcentral Pennsylvania.

“LCPN is blessed to have the support of organizations like the Rhoads Energy Family of Companies, to further our mission to ensure nobody needs to go hungry over the holidays,” said Thomas Fasnacht, member of LCPN’s Board of Directors.

Since 1986, LCPN has provided meals to families during the Christmas season. The Project works in tandem with other organizations to share resources to meet the need in our community. Last year, LCPN handed out 1,200 boxes of food, each with enough food to feed a family of four.  The Legacy Fund donation will cover the cost of 100 food boxes.

“We are pleased to provide support to such an outstanding – and much needed – organization,” said Michael DeBerdine III, Rhoads CEO. “Our hope is that this donation will spur others to give to Project for the Needy during this holiday season.”

The Rhoads Legacy Fund makes donations based on recommendations and decisions by a committee staffed with Rhoads employees. The Legacy Fund is the most recent example of Rhoads Energy’s commitment to community service over its 104-year history.

Rhoads and its affiliates offer heating oil and propane delivery, natural gas, HVAC repair and installation, commercial and fleet energy services, among other offerings.
