RHOADS ENERGY PROMOTES SCOTT BURKY TO CHIEF OPERATIONS OFFICER
The Rhoads Energy Family of Companies has promoted Scott Burky to Chief Operations Officer. Prior to his promotion, Burky served as Rhoads Energy’s Vice President of Operations. The organization offers a wide range of energy services in Central Pennsylvania through Rhoads Energy and related companies.
As Chief Operations Officer, Burky will oversee all aspects of company-wide operations across all brands serving a four-county service area. The newly created position enables the company to better manage its recent growth and expansion, according to Michael DeBerdine III, CEO of Rhoads Energy.
“Our company has tripled in size since we hired Scott in 2009,” DeBerdine said. “As Rhoads has expanded its customer base, we have recognized the benefits of continuously improving operations and efficiencies. We need a strong leader to spearhead that ongoing effort, and Scott has proven he is that leader.”
Burky has already overseen several projects to upgrade Rhoads Energy procedures and systems. Prior to his stint with Rhoads Energy, Burky was Vice President of Sales and Customer Service for D&E Communications.
Scott Burky and his wife live in Lititz. Burky earned an MBA from Elizabethtown College and has a Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University.
Rhoads Energy has been providing heating oil delivery, equipment installation and service since 1917. Today, they provide a wide range of services: natural gas and propane delivery, HVAC installation and service, and fleet fueling, among others.
