Rhoads Energy Awards Grant to Boyertown Area Multi-Service

DONATIONS WILL SUPPORT THE EFFORTS OF THE RICKETTS COMMUNITY CENTER

The Rhoads Energy Family of Companies, a regional energy and HVAC services leader and parent to Boyertown Oil & Propane, has added another chapter to its century-long story of community involvement. Through its charitable Legacy Fund, Rhoads has made a donation to Boyertown Area Multi-Service, Inc.

The grant consists of $1140 in cash, four laptops, a printer and four office chairs. The community organization will also receive a charitable discount and installation from Furniture Soup. The total value of the grant is more than $5,000.

The mission of Boyertown Area Multi-Service is to provide resources and services to meet unfulfilled human and community needs in the greater Boyertown area.  The organization operates the Richard J. Ricketts Sr. Community Center, an important destination for underserved youth and adults in Pottstown.

Boyertown Area Multi-Service will use grant funds and equipment to help job seekers research websites and write resumes at the Ricketts Center. It will also assist students with homework who may not have access to the Internet.

“For more than 100 years, community support has been a core value at The Rhoads Energy Family of Companies,” said Michael DeBerdine III, CEO of Rhoads. “Our entire team is proud to offer assistance to this vital organization, which does so much good for so many throughout the Pottstown and Boyertown area.” DeBerdine added that he hopes the grants will be a catalyst for further support for Boyertown Area Multi-Service by others in the community.
