RHOADS ENERGY ANNOUNCES CREATION OF ADVISORY BOARD

Team of accomplished professionals will help guide strategy, growth

LANCASTER, Pa. — Rhoads Energy has created an Advisory Board – a group of seasoned outside professionals who will offer objective guidance and creative thinking to the company’s overarching strategy.

The leading regional energy company made the move to fuel future growth and identify and capture new opportunities as it expands its menu of services and geographical footprint.

Rhoads Energy has a 107-year-old history of continuous service to southcentral Pennsylvania. The employee-owned company offers residential and commercial fuel delivery, fleet fueling, and other services. Its Rhoads Air division offers heating and cooling equipment installation and service.

“Rhoads Energy has grown and evolved rapidly over the past decade or so,” said CEO Michael DeBerdine, III. “Our leadership team realized that, in order to continue on that trajectory, Rhoads would benefit from objective guidance from deeply experienced professionals.”

DeBerdine noted that the inaugural members of the Advisory Board all have a national profile and offer a broad range of skills, experiences, and capabilities:

Ann Anthony is an accomplished senior executive with a successful track record of driving efficiency through the Finance and Accounting functions. She has delivered outstanding results for several leading global, national, and regional companies in the energy and manufacturing sectors. Ann currently serves as CFO of Oberon Fuels, Inc., and has worked as a trusted board advisor on financial issues, as well as issues of strategy and governance.

Dan Smith is Chief Marketing Officer with Chief Outsiders, a national management consulting firm. He brings expertise in the strategic development and execution of B2C and B2B customer acquisition, lead generation, and CRM strategies. Dan also offers executive level experience in strategic planning, business development, multi-channel marketing and consumer research. Previously, he held senior marketing positions at national brands including Angie’s List and GrubHub.

Mike Tower is a senior business executive and consultant serving predominantly retail and consumer goods clients on strategy, organization, and operations. Mike was a partner and head of North America with A.T. Kearney, a global consulting partnership operating in more than 40 countries. Today, he still holds the title Partner Emeritus at Kearney. Mike serves as an executive coach and is and has been a board member for several privately held companies, including Ace Hardware International.

“Needless to say, this is some serious horsepower,” DeBerdine said. “The composition of this Advisory Board gives us a distinct competitive advantage as we chart a course that will benefit both our customers and our employee-owners.”

Nancy Fisher, Rhoads Energy’s Chief Financial Officer, will also sit on the board as its finance member.

The board will meet 3-4 times per year in Lancaster and work as Advisors on strategic issues including HVAC services, operations, mergers and acquisitions, succession planning, and more.
