RHOADS ENERGY BUYS SOLANCO PROPANE, EXPANDS INTO MARYLAND

LANCASTER-BASED REGIONAL LEADER WILL DELIVER TO CECIL COUNTY RESIDENTS 

LANCASTER, Pa. — Rhoads Energy announced today that it has completed the purchase of Solanco Propane and Heating, which serves customers in southern Lancaster and Chester Counties and Cecil County, Maryland.

The transaction expands Rhoads Energy’s growing fuel delivery territory and means, for the first time in its 106-year history, the company will serve customers in Maryland. Rhoads will also expand services to offer propane, heating oil, and diesel fuel to both commercial and residential customers throughout Cecil County.

Rhoads Energy plans to immediately rebrand the previous company to convey that customers will be getting a new experience and improved service. Customers will also gain immediate access to Rhoads Energy’s enhanced customer services: online account access, automatic delivery, automatic payments, budget billing, text notifications, and more.

Jennifer Goldbach, a long-time Rhoads Energy employee, will be leading the customer acquisition effort in the new service area. Goldbach has worked and volunteered in Cecil County for over two decades, then relocated to the area in 2020.

For Rhoads Energy, which was founded in Quarryville in southern Lancaster County, the move just south into Cecil County is a natural progression. In fact, many Cecil County businesses and homeowners will already be familiar with the Rhoads Energy reputation and brand.
